Social stability is our main mandate, as we work with Lebanese and Syrian to promote Social stability by strengthening municipalities’ communities’ systems’ and institutions’ ability to mitigate tensions and prevent conflict, and ensuring early warning within the response.
Our Theories of Change:
- If we provide respected Lebanese municipal, host community and Syrian refugee leaders with skills and information to collectively understand, discuss, plan and deliver solutions to sources of instability between their communities, then tensions between groups will decrease;
- If the municipalities can be responsive to the local needs of Lebanese and Syrian refugee communities, then individuals will be less likely to allow grievances to exacerbate fault lines, triggering confessional violence.
